Having tried Petra’s cheesecake I was tempted to also try her Peanutbutter cake recipe. This peanut butter cake was again a great success. For those who like a light taste of peanut butter paired with cheese cake this is the ideal recipe. This easy recipe is easy to bake and the result is truly delicious.
Preparation time: 30 minutes
Baking time: 30 minutes
- 600 gram cream cheese
- 150 gram soft peanut butter
- 100 gram sugar
- 2 eggs
- 200 gram finely grounded shortbread or some other simple biscuit
- 25 gram sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 60 gram butter
- 80 gram bitter chocolate
- 80 gram chocolate coating
- a little bit cocoa butter
- a hand full of crushed peanuts

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees centigrade.
For the topping:
Mix the cream cheese with the peanut butter and the sugar. Add the eggs and mix well.
For the crust:
Grind the short bread with your kitchen aid or mortar. Add all ingredients and mix well. Fill the mixture in a spring form pan and flatten it out. Press onto the bottom of the pan.
Now fill the toping into the spring form, spread it out well and place in the over for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile prepare the glazing:
Melt the chocolates and the cocoa butter over a hot water bath.
When the cake is ready baked let it cool off. Then spread the melted chocolate evenly over the cake and add some chopped and roasted peanuts.
Fridge for a while.
