Lentil and ham soup

It was time for a hearty dish and hardly any dish fits this word better than a hot, thick lentil soup with speck or ham. My girlfriend was hungry, thank god this soup is easy and fast to make.

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 25 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 300 gram smoked ham or speck
  • 150 gram lentils, cooked
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 potato
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • some cellerie
  • a leek
  • some instant soup
  • a bay leaf
  • some parsley
  • salt and pepper
  • some olive oil

Preparation:

cube the speck and the vegetables. cut the leek into stripes. Fry the speck or ham in a pot with some olive oil, add the carrots, potato, onion and cellerie. Fry well, then add thelentils, the leek, the garlic and parsley. After a minute or two add a liter of water and a spoon of instant vegetable stock. Add the bay leave and let it cook for 15 minutes.
