I am a big soup fan and certainly can eat soup every day. Cold or hot, I do not mind. I like to experiment and combine tastes and textures. This recipe I saw at a German language blog of a fellow foodie called Kochschlampe. The carrot does something to the simple zucchini soup. It seems [...]

This soup is from Cordoba, Spain and has a great similarity with Gazpacho. It is reduced to a few ingredients and contains no cucumber. Salmorejo is also much thicker than the Gazpacho because it contains more bread. A great and intense tomato taste! Bookmark on Delicious Digg this post Recommend on Facebook Buzz it up [...]

Ideal for summer weather is this cold version of a vegetable soup. It is an alternative to Gazpacho, which I have written about quite a lot this summer. The iced vegetable soup can be done with a variety of vegetables, this version however is prepared with rocked salad, which gives it a spicy touch. Preparation: [...]

A creative, cold soup made from beet roots. The soup fits perfectly well the hot weather. A sip of Campari and the orange juice ice cubes give and exotic touch to the soup. Have a glass of fruity rose with it! Delicious! Bookmark on Delicious Digg this post Recommend on Facebook Buzz it up Share [...]

I was lucky. The fishing boat had landed the minute I entered the port. It was not the greatest choice of fish but for a fish soup ideal. The fish was as fresh as it could get. I paid two kilos of fish and got three. The only downfall was that no one would clean [...]

A gazpacho with a twist. After having posted the plain one and the version with beet root I am posting the one with watermelon. The watermelon gives a fruity and sweet twist to the soup that combines very well with the peppers and tomato. It is important though that you use a very ripe melon. [...]

This Gazpacho has a more intense coloring than the classic version of the dish. The beetroot gives it an earthy touch that goes well with the tomato, onion, peppers and garlic. I like to season this Gazpacho with a pinch of cayenne pepper. Bookmark on Delicious Digg this post Recommend on Facebook Buzz it up [...]

The temperature is rising but I still can’t stop making soups. This time I used cauliflower. In my opinion cauliflower is under estimated. This vegetable is just not used enough. Here is a recipe for a well seasoned, slightly exotic cauliflower soup. Bookmark on Delicious Digg this post Recommend on Facebook Buzz it up Share [...]
