This time we had been traveling to Egypt. An interesting trip that brought us 5 new dishes to our collection of Mediterranean food. Once more you find a voting right under the presentation where you can decide who will win the 11th Mediterranean cooking event.
|Egyptian Eggs with Dukkah
is the first dish that was handed in to the 11th Mediterranean cooking event. They were presented by the taste space blog. These eggs are flavored with cumin. coriander and sesame seed, check them out!
|Mashi is not a Japanese tea brand although it certainly sounds like one. It is the Egyptian verion of Domades, stuffed wine leafs. I was surprised to find this version of the dish as I assumed that it would be known only in Tuky and Greece. Thanks for enlightening me Seelensturm.|
|Akheela from the torview blog seems not to leave a contest out! Very well! This time it is a sweet dish presented. Baklava, a classic of the eastern Mediterranean cuisine. This one comes with flowers.|
|Basboosa is the great sounding name of these semolina syrup cake. Sangi went through the afford of preparing it for us. A simple but delicious sweet that can be easily prepared at home.
|Besboussa with almonds
sounds a bit like the sweet above, but looks very different. In this post we learn a lot about this dish. As well how many names it has and where it is popular. Thank you Heni.
