7th mediterranean cooking event – Algeria

Many influences mingle here. The Spanish, the Berber and of course the Ottoman empire have left their traces. Algeria is producing lots of dates and pulses, but also lamb is welcome on the plate.

The 7th Mediterranean Cooking Event has started and the topic is:
Algeria
Start date is the 10th of April 2010.
End date is the 10th of May 2010.

The winner receives this great cookbook on northe African cooking:
