14 comments Jan 10th, 2010 | By Tobias | Category: Blogevents, RecipesOur travel through the mediterranean takes us up north tho the adriatic sea. Here lays Croatia, which is not only known for its landscape but also its cuisine. Interesting culinary influences meet here. Of course the Ottoman occupation left its traces but also the Austrian-Hungarian empire as well as the the Romans and the Greeks. In modern time the French and the Italian influenced the cullinary landscape of this magnifficant country.

Hello, I was very excited to see this event over at Taste of Beirut! And really gutted to see I’ve missed the event. I’m Croatian, you see, and would have loved to take part. Since it’s the 10th today, I don’t have the time to post anything new, but would you mind if I reposted something from my archives? Thanks!
Also, I’m impressed that you’ve chosen Croatia. A lot of Mediterranean cookery books simply gloss over the space of the Med.
@ Maninas: I am glad you found the event! The ides of the event is though, that people cook and post something new. Maybe you have something to cook and post for Morocco, which is going to be the new topic announced today.
I understand, that’s fine.
I have cooked a Morrocan feast (with 14 dishes!) a few months ago, so I’m sure I’ll be able to pick a dish for that.
interesting read. I would love to follow you on twitter.
